THREE DAYS at the US Open in Huntington beach spent traipsing up and down Main street, the pier, and the beach, finding interesting people to photograph. Emma had her camera around her neck and a hand in India’s. We fell in love with the locals, Aussies, surfers, skateboarders, dogs, old beach bums and young grommits, the King family, artists, foreigners, Luke & Christian. These are some of our favorite shots.
These super cool chicks were jamming and singing songs that they wrote. One of their lines was, “So you want to be a famous musician? Well you better start doing coke and objectifying women.”
Fros and Jellies- this girl was adorable.
Claus being suave
This girls long braids and signature style drew us in
His job is to blow bubbles all day to get people’s attention
These ladies told us they were surfers, TV stars, and basically more famous than all of us
Love the contrast here
Love at first sight- first time meeting Luke (left) and Christian (right)
We shot a whole series just featuring them, check it out here
Ragged overalls & fierce stares
Off guard moments are the best

She loved our eye-dots so we added some more art to her skin
Saw this guy in a freestyle skate competition, turned out he was deaf. Luckily India knows ASL and was able to jump in and ask for a photo!
