THROW TOGETHER a bleached out old tennis club steps from the beach, talenti gelato from the CVS down the street, beach bikes, two girls who never brush their hair, and three weeks together, and it will result in a long-lasting friendship.

During the summer India lives in Solana beach for three months being a nanny and working at this delicious pizza joint, Crust. (their meatballs are amazing). Emma was dating India’s brother at the time, and came down to spend a week with their family. At our first brunch together at Lockwood, we chatted over strawberry toast and lavender chais, and instantly connected. Em started spending more time with India than she was with Blaze..

We beached it up on 23rd street, woke up at 6 am to surf, went vintage shopping, and had the time of our lives. Emma was only supposed to stay for a week but changed her flight three times and stayed about fifteen days.
